What If My Dog Hates Having Their Nails Done?

Nail day is a battle in a lot of homes, and noise is usually the reason. The Grinder 2000 runs as quiet as 50 dB with low vibration, which keeps anxious dogs far calmer than a loud tool. Introduce it slowly. Let your dog sniff it and hear it running over a few days with treats before you touch a single nail, then do one or two nails at a time and build up. Ending each session with a treat makes the next one easier.

Will It Handle My Dog's Nails?

Yes, it suits all breeds and nail sizes. It has 6 speed settings from 7,000 to 12,000 RPM, so you can use gentle speeds for thin nails on small dogs and more power for thick nails on big dogs. The grinding stone is replaceable, so when it wears down you swap in a fresh one instead of buying a whole new tool, which keeps it working for years.

What If I Cut Into The Quick?

This is exactly why a grinder beats clippers for most people. Clippers take off a whole piece at once, which is where the quick gets caught. A grinder removes just a little at a time, so you stay in control the whole way. The built-in LED light helps you see the nail clearly as you work, and you take thin passes toward the tip in small sections. Use a slower speed as you get closer to the quick. Slow and steady means no guessing.

6 SPEEDS, 7,000 TO 12,000 RPM

With 6 speed settings from 7,000 to 12,000 RPM, Fur King's grinder adapts to any dog. Use faster speeds along the top of the nail and slower speeds near the quick for precise control, whether your pet is petite or large.

Battery Lasts Up To 3 Hours

Fur King's grinder is cordless in use, powered by a USB rechargeable 600 mAh battery that delivers up to 3 hours of runtime. No batteries to buy and no cords to wrangle, just easy, free-moving grooming whenever your dog needs a trim.

Replaceable grinder Stone

Fur King's grinding stone is fully replaceable, so a worn wheel never means a worn-out tool. Simply lift off the detachable head cover, swap in a fresh stone, and enjoy smooth, effective grinding that lasts for years to come.

QUIET 50 dB MOTOR

Loud tools make dogs nervous. Furking's grinder runs as quiet as 50 dB with minimal vibration, designed to keep even anxious pets relaxed. A calm, low-stress experience means steadier paws and a quicker, gentler trim every single time.

Nail Grinding is an easy 4 step process

Simple Setup, Stress-Free Walks

GET YOUR DOG SETTLED

Start with a calm dog and a calm space. If it is their first time, let them sniff the grinder and reward them with treats over a few days so the tool feels familiar. On grinding day, have them lying down or sitting facing you, relaxed and comfortable.

CHOOSE YOUR SPEED

Turn on the grinder and choose your speed. Use a faster setting near the top of the nail and a slower one closer to the quick for precision. Thinner nails on smaller dogs suit slower speeds, while thicker nails on larger dogs need a little more power.

GRIND IN SMALL SECTIONS

Hold the grinder at a slight angle from above for the best control, and keep any long paw hair held back from the spinning stone. Work across the bottom of the nail then toward the tip in small sections, using the built-in LED light to see the quick and avoid nicks.

SMOOTH, CHECK AND REWARD

Finish by lightly rounding off any rough edges for a smooth result that protects floors, furniture and skin. Then reward your dog with a treat and some praise. Ending on a positive note keeps them relaxed and makes the next grinding session even easier.

Our Founder

Fur King started in Sydney, Australia in February 2018 — not as a brand idea, but out of frustration.

That month, I brought home a chocolate Labrador named Wilfred. Like most dog owners, I wanted to do things properly. So I went looking for a high-quality dog bed that would actually last.

I couldn’t find one.

Every bed I tried flattened within months. Wilfred went from sleeping comfortably to basically lying on the floor. It felt wrong — and it felt like I was being sold the same average product over and over again, just wrapped in different branding.

That frustration is what started Fur King.

One product done properly

From the beginning, I had one rule:

I’d rather make one product properly than ten average ones.

To me, “done properly” meant a genuinely high-quality bed. One with real memory foam. One with a removable, washable cover. One that didn’t collapse after a few months and actually supported a large dog long term.

That idea became the Fur King Ortho Dog Bed.

Wilfred still tests all of our products and you will see him throughout the website in product photography, though he's too big to test the pet strollers!
